I tried to talk to a friend that I haven't talked to in a while.

He's usually very nice to me, and I thought we were pretty good friends. Actually, he's one of three guys that I hang out with (one of the other ones is my boyfriend), and the other two make fun of him all the time, and I usually get them to stop. I listened to him about his family problems, and as far as I know, I was never mean to him.

Today, I called him and he just gave me a butt-load of attitude, called me a few rude names I don't feel like repeating, got his buddies that he was hanging out with to pass the phone around and say mean things only to threaten me if I called them back.

Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed. We've been friends since the fourth grade, and he just kind of beat our friendship with a baseball bat and then tossed it off a cliff (to be metaphorically descriptive).

well, hey, people just have bad days sometimes. you have to look in his perspective. you said hes having family problems, right? he probably got his feelings hurt somehow and hes venting on you. dont think twice about what he said, he'll come around soon, i promise. so, cheer up, chickadee!

Hey, thanks. That makes sense, it might have been his family problems, but it still hurt, you know?
I really hope he comes around, we were pretty good friends.

Has anyone been talking about you behind your back to him? If you don't know why he'd pissed with you than that's probably the first thing to try and sort out- it might just be someone lying or being nasty. Oh, well- hope you both sort it out :)

Actually, after my friend went crazy yesterday, my boyfriend, Ben, called me and knew something was wrong, so I told him what was going on. My friend is actually one of my Ben's friends, so Ben gave him a call and told him that he upset me, and my friend called me a bunch of times and appollogised, so the world is back in order.

I just don't understand why he did it. He said he and his friends were "just messin'" but he's never been mean to me at all. eh, but at least he appologised.

I like that saying. "you hurt the people you love most and who are closest to you because you know they will forgive you." I'll need to remember that one!
